I'm Paul Gaynor, a Software Engineer who is passionate about building and deploying resilient systems. I apply my in-depth technical skills and knowledge to deploy customized solutions to challenging problems in the manufacturing, security, social services and financial sectors. Proof that no goal remains unattainable is evident by observing my problem solving approach which focuses on team efficiency using solid project management principles, even though I am a hard-core developer. Be confident that while there exist problems, I will be deploying solutions!!!.

My wide range of soft skills support catalysis of stakeholder consensus and amplification of team synergies, while leveraging my technical skills to slice though challenging implementation hurdles. Technical skills include fault tolerant design and implementation of databases using Sql Server, mySql and/or SQLite to feed a variety of interfaces that include PHP, Python, Java, Kotlin and Visual Basic. I'm also conversant (and certified) in Tensorflow as well as the Google Cloud Platform, which I have applied in support of AI based work flows. Soft skills were established primarily over principles expected from a seasoned Project Management Professional, and distilled with experiences of finding a "win for all" in situations that sometimes involve conflicting stakeholder objectives.

One of my significant career achievements was the building and deployment of the Equity Stock Management system for JMMB Securities Limited(JMMBSL). I first became involved in that project with an engagement to build out a prototype which implemented a process to support front office customer service agents as they recorded buy and sell stock orders from clients. That went well, allowing me to showcase a robust, multi-layered development process, and deploy a team to speed up delivery, and coordinate maintenance. Over time, I grew, and guided my team to achieve successful implementation of features that include backoffice and settlement operations, client notifications, automation of data transfer between the broker and the Jamaica Stock Exchange, as well as allow clients to buy or sell stocks from their portfolio over the internet. When JMMBSL decided to expand operations to Trinidad, I was personally dispatched to Port of Spain in order to clarify requirements and build out nuanced portfolio rules. A major key to the long term success of the product was clear stakeholder communication, backed by solid user and technical documentation.
